Russia’s Evraz steel output up 0.6% to 4 mln tns in Oct–Dec

MOSCOW, Jan 19 (PRIME) -- The steel output of U.K. steel and mining giant Evraz, which operates mainly in Russia, rose 0.6% on the quarter to 3.884 million tonnes in October–December, the company said in a statement Monday.

Cast iron production grew 1.2% to 3.143 million tonnes.

Steel output in 2014 overall fell 3.6% to 15.535 million tonnes, the company said.

Gross steel products output fell 5.5% to 15.098 million tonnes in the period.

Cast iron output went down 1.4% to 12.373 million tonnes.

Coke output tumbled 17.6% to 1.137 million tonnes.
